Covid-19 has transformed the way the world communicates with others. Zoom and Google Meet are now the meetings of the future. Facetime and video chat are now the way to “see” those near and dear. It has also put a damper on activities that students and teachers have always been able to do; activities many students look forward to such as field trips, sporting events and large assemblies.
Mr. Jeff Dixon, a high school social studies teacher, found a way to reach all students and staff on this momentous day. In lieu of an in-person Veteran’s Day assembly, Mr. Dixon and his social studies students’ put together a slide show honoring the men and women who have served the United States Armed Forces during times of strife, such as the World Wars and Viet Nam and during those quiet years when all was well.
