From the Scioto Foundation:
Since the Scioto Foundation’s “UCAN Go to College Night” has been cancelled this year due to Covid 19 virus concerns, area college-bound students seeking information on a number of subjects related to planning, paying and preparing for college may find help through a new program called “The Virtual College Exploration.”
“The Virtual College Exploration” for students and counselors is presented by the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling in partnership with StriveScan. The goal of the program is to “provide students with a wealth of college information, allow them to browse and learn about different colleges, and ask questions of admissions counselors, all in a safe, flexible, online format.”
The program will consist of college knowledge sessions on topics such as finding a college that fits, choosing a major, tips for writing a college essay and more, presented by OACAC member institutions. The program will also feature information sessions from a variety of colleges and universities. It is free to students and counselors; student registration begins on August 24 by visiting https://oacac.org/student-registration/ .
The “webinars” will begin at the week of September 13 and will go on through November. They will be available for on-demand viewing.
Questions about the program may be directed to Ginnie Moore, Grants and Scholarships Coordinator for the Scioto Foundation at (740) 354-4612 or ginnie@thesciotofoundation.org.
Information on a number of other subjects for prospective college students may be obtained by contacting the Scioto Foundation UCAN College Advisor Christy Wilcox at her email address Christy@thesciotofoundation.org . She can provide information on career exploration, college selection and application, FASFA importance and completion, the scholarship application process, SAT/ACT/(ASVAB) and military testing and other topics.

Dear Bobcat Nation,
I hope this message finds you safe and well.
I suspect many of you have seen that districts within the tri-state are beginning to release their reopening plans for FY 21. Our Work Session/Board Meeting is tomorrow (July 21, 2020). We will finalize our plans during the course of that meeting; and, as a result, I will release Green's plan no later than Friday, July 24.
Thank you for your participation in our preliminary surveys. That information has been critical to the development of our plan.
With Bobcat Pride,
Jodi
