Green High School will be hosting a FAFSA workshop in a partnership with OU-Southern's Assistant Directer of Financial Aid, Jacki Adkins on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 6:00pm in the HS cafeteria. Things you need to bring with you include: -2021 tax documents (W-2's, 1040, social security numbers, etc) -Most recent bank statements. -Student chromebook -Parent/Guardian -Student FSA ID -Parent FSA ID We recommend trying to complete the FAFSA at fafsa.gov when it opens on Oct. 1 and attending the workshop for any problems incurred.

Please come out and support senior Katelinn Satterfield and her senior initiative project, Team Cure SMA Color Run 5K. I am Katelinn Satterfield, a Senior at Green High School. I am active in many sports, and also in my church, Bloom Free Will Baptist Church. I am a lifeguard in the summer at the Wheelersburg pool and Long’s Retreat. So now that you know a little bit about me, it’s time to get down to business and know the importance of this letter. Every year each senior chooses a senior initiative project. The object of this project is to help the community and all proceeds raised go to a nonprofit organization. This year my senior initiative project is organizing a 5k color run, roll and walk for SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). SMA is a condition that causes muscle weakness and atrophy that prohibits the growth of muscle . SMA can affect one's ability to walk, sit up and cause weakness in the upper body. I chose SMA because my friend Jenna was born with SMA. Jenna is a 6th grade student at South Webster. Jenna loves Nancy Drew, her dog Pepito and shopping. The “Team Cure SMA 5k Color Run” will be held on November 5, 2022, in Franklin Furnace Ohio and all proceeds will go to the Cure SMA Foundation.

A huge THANK YOU to SSG Scott Boyd, Recruiter, and the Ohio National Guard for sponsoring our school district so that we may utilize Dave Ramsey's financial literacy curriculum, titled "Foundations of Personal Finance". This is an online curriculum and will provide juniors and seniors the financial foundation needed to further their successes. We are excited and thankful for this opportunity provided to our students. Thank you again, Ohio National Guard!
